أخ كبير "تقليل الأقليات" - أنديل
Subject
Satirical show
Description
"Big Brother" is a satirical YouTube series, in which cartoonist and journalist Andeel acts as an imaginary 'brother' to Egyptians who likes to give advice. In this episode, he provides a humorous critique of the issue of "minorities" in Egyptian society, and how citizens are brainwashed through pro-regime media to stereotype and negatively frame certain minority groups.
The 'Big Brother' series satirises and exaggerates situations which many Egyptians are familiar with in their daily life. Andeel twists the narratives in a way to make fun of authority and dominant social norms. Dark humour and sharp satire characterise this series, which sheds light on many ills in post-revolutionary Egypt.
