Title

People are dancing while others are dying
أغنية "ناس بترقص وناس بتموت" لفرقة كايروكي

Subject

Song

Description

The song was made in early 2014 to reflect the dismay and state of frustration of many people who took part in the 2011 revolution, including members of the Cairokee band themselves.
Singer Amir Eid laments how some people are "dancing" and joyful while many others are dying (both physically and metaphorically) as a result of the deteriorating standards of living, and the absence of freedom of expression: "the loudest voice at the party is the voice of silence". The lyrics of this song reflect how Cairokee band's songs shifted to a rather cynical position after their early joyful and celebratory songs of the 2011 revolution.
