                    أغنية "خلص الفول" لفرقة بهججة
            Subject
Song
            Description
Similar to other songs by Bahgaga band, this song uses satire and dark humour to underline the state of poverty, from which many Egyptians have been suffering due to the continuous and sharp rises in the prices of food items. Fava beans (or 'foul' in Arabic) is a daily food staple for millions of Egyptians due to its cheap price.
In the song, the singers tell us in a humorous performance that: "There are no beans left and we don't know whose responsibility it is. They have fooled you by saying 'if you are patient enough, you will reach your dream'". The lyrics play on the idea that soon enough Egyptians won't even find or be able to afford their daily basic staple, foul.
