            Description
Spoken word poet Tamim al-Barghouti recited this poem on Al-Jazeera Mubasher on 28 January 2011 - dubbed the 'Day of Rage' by protesters. The poem could be considered a call to continue resisting the regime. It certainly touched the hearts of many and was subsequently projected onto screens in Tahrir Square during the 18 day sit-in.
Al-Barghouti is Palestinian-Egyptian. His mother was the late Egyptian novelist Radwa Ashour. His father is Palestinian writer and poet Mourad al-Barghouti.
